We used suffolk latches before to spruce up an old country cottage that we had lately purchased at an excellent cost. Our reason for doing so was that we were very enthusiastic on keeping the original character and presence of the home. The property is over 160 years old, so we were keen to research this time and buy as plenty products as achievable around the home so it would look just faultless. Taking a look around the cottage, revealed plenty ways in which I could restore it to its earlier grandeur. I wandered about the people who built the home, the materials they used and the life they led.

There was also a garage attached, as well as a stable and a barn, so we bought butterfly hinges to modernize the exterior and interior doors. We chose new black ironmongery products with an accustomed beeswax finish.It turned out that we were not the only ones that took this repair task seriously as a lot of our new neighbors dropped by to thank us for keeping the heritage of the village and home. I will always remain enthusiastic about saving the heritage and character of my superb new country cottage.
